A family residence organised around an internal courtyard, bringing the kitchen, dining and informal living spaces into a closer relationship with one another and with the outdoors.

Each residence begins with its own conditions: the people living there, the architecture already present, and the routines the rooms need to support and the things that matter enough to keep. The projects below are different responses to those conditions rather than variations of a predetermined house style.
CITY APARTMENT
Bourdillon Apartment
A quieter place within the city.
Designed for a client who spends significant periods away, the apartment uses custom joinery, restrained materials and carefully placed art to create a home that feels settled immediately on return.

The Garden House
Open when together. Quiet when apart.
Shared rooms open toward the garden and one another, while the quieter parts of the house gradually withdraw, allowing family life to expand and contract throughout the day.
PRIVATE RESIDENCE
Alder House
Formal architecture, lived more softly.
Strong proportions and clearly defined rooms are retained, while timber, stone, textiles, furniture and art bring warmth and a more relaxed way of occupying the architecture.

The Gallery Apartment
A home for living with art.
Architecture, lighting and furniture were developed alongside the collection, giving individual works room to hold attention without allowing the apartment to become a gallery first and a home second.

Cedar House
Built around the changing day.
The residence is organised around changing light, with brighter communal spaces carrying the morning and afternoon before deeper materials and more contained rooms take over later in the day.

The Collector's House
New rooms for a life already collected.
Furniture, books, art and objects gathered over many years were treated as part of the starting point, allowing new architectural and interior decisions to form around a life already in progress.
